Sodium Coco Sulfate, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Essential Oil + Fragrance Blend*, and Natural Coloring (Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Mica, and/or Clay)

*all pure fragrance is skin safe, phthalate free and paraben free.

Each bar comes packaged in a glassine paper bag and is sealed with a sugarcane paper label. The glassine paper bag and label are both 100% home compostable.

Wet hair. Gently rub the wet shampoo bar directly onto your hair from scalp to ends, OR rub the wet shampoo bar between your hands to create a lather and massage into hair. Rinse & follow with a conditioner bar!

To keep your bars lasting as long as they should, be sure to store them away from any running or standing water! Allow them to fully dry between uses and try not to store them in an airtight container until they’ve completely dried. Try our soap lift or metal travel tins!

What hair type is the Golden Shampoo Bar best for?

Golden suits pretty much everyone, but people with dry hair swear by it. There's a lot of coconut oil, cocoa butter, shea butter and olive oil in there, so it's putting moisture back in while it washes rather than scrubbing it all out.

What essential oils and key ingredients are in this bar, and how do they help?

The base is coconut oil, cocoa butter, shea butter and extra virgin olive oil, scented with a skin safe blend of mango, orange, pineapple and vanilla. The butters handle the moisture, the oils handle the shine.

Is the Golden Shampoo Bar vegan and cruelty-free?

Yep, fully vegan and cruelty free, like everything we make. Handmade in the USA too.

Is it safe for color-treated hair?

It is. There's no SLS in it, and sulfates are usually what fade color, so dyed hair is safe here.

What does it smell like?

Basically a tropical fruit salad. Mango, orange, pineapple, and a warm bit of vanilla underneath.

How long does one bar last?

One 3oz bar gets you 75+ washes, which is a few bottles of the liquid stuff. Just don't let it sit in a puddle, and let it dry out between washes.

Is it free of SLS, palm oil, and parabens?

Yes, none of those. It cleans with sodium coco sulfate instead, a gentler cleanser that comes from coconut. The fragrance is skin safe, phthalate free and paraben free as well.

Awesome shampoo bar.

I love this shampoo bar. The smell is luscious, it’s cleans really well and easily, helps detangles my girls’ hair and is silky and moisturizing even to the touch. It does great with long hair. The only downside I see to this bar is that due to its high moisture content, it seems to get used up faster than the other bars.

These shampoo bars lather very nicely cleaning my hair but don't make it feel stripped. The bar form is perfect for travel as well. I now stock up on these when they go on sale.
