New Zealand's climate is mild and sheep graze free-range in open pasture all year round. There is no flystrike, and mulesing is not practiced. Livestock exportation from New Zealand is prohibited, and this prevents the practice of horror trips on cargo ships around the world. New Zealand also leads the world in shearing technique and ability. Sheep grow wool continuously and need to be sheared once a year to better allow lambing and avoid them becoming uncomfortable, stressed, and eventually ill. She got very attached to some small polyester felt balls that my nephews were doing arts and crafts with and she would carry them around in her mouth. I was concerned that she would ingest them, so I wanted to get something similar but non-toxic. These were the perfect choice! They roll phenomenally well, so she can chase and bat them to her heart’s content.
Both my cats love wool toys, especially my kitten. My kitten loves tearing her toys up and so far these have been very durable and looks like they will last longer than some we’ve had before
My cat loves to play with little craft pom-poms, but they always end up soggy and gross on the carpet of my house and I step on it and I’m grossed out by the cold wet pom-pom that is under my feet. This is the perfect solution she loves this little ball so much and it’s super affordable. This is much more durable than a pom-pom and doesn’t collect as much of my cats saliva so I don’t step on anything wet or cold but I still get to enjoy my cat carrying around a cute little ball!
