Sodium Coco Sulfate, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Argan Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Essential Oil + Fragrance Blend*, and Natural Coloring (Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Mica, Cocoa, and/or Clay)

*all pure fragrance is skin safe, phthalate free and paraben free.

Each bar comes packaged in a glassine paper bag and is sealed with a sugarcane paper label. The glassine paper bag and label are both 100% home compostable.

Wet hair. Gently rub the wet shampoo bar directly onto your hair from scalp to ends, OR rub the wet shampoo bar between your hands to create a lather and massage into hair. Rinse & follow with a conditioner bar!

What hair type is the Mahogany Shampoo Bar best for?

This one's for oily hair and cranky, itchy scalps. Lavender and peppermint are old school scalp soothers, and the argan oil conditions without leaving any grease behind.

What essential oils and key ingredients are in this bar, and how do they help?

Along with the usual coconut oil, cocoa butter and shea butter, there's argan oil for light nourishment and a scent blend of sandalwood, lavender and peppermint. The lavender settles an irritated scalp, the peppermint wakes it up. Oily scalps tend to love that combination.

Is the Mahogany Shampoo Bar vegan and cruelty-free?

It is. No animal ingredients, no animal testing, ever. Made by hand in the USA.

Is it safe for color-treated hair?

Yes, go ahead. It's sulfate free, so it won't wash your color down the drain.

What does it smell like?

Earthy and clean. Warm sandalwood, calm lavender, and a little kick of peppermint at the end.

How long does one bar last?

About 75 washes, sometimes more. That's roughly two or three bottles of regular shampoo. Keep it somewhere it can dry off between uses and it'll go the distance.

Is it free of SLS, palm oil, and parabens?

Correct, no SLS, no palm oil, no parabens. The lather comes from coconut derived sodium coco sulfate, and the scent is skin safe, phthalate free and paraben free.

Awesome shampoo bar.

I love this shampoo bar. The smell is luscious, it’s cleans really well and easily, helps detangles my girls’ hair and is silky and moisturizing even to the touch. It does great with long hair. The only downside I see to this bar is that due to its high moisture content, it seems to get used up faster than the other bars.

Perfectly Balanced Cleansing

These shampoo bars lather very nicely cleaning my hair but don't make it feel stripped. The bar form is perfect for travel as well. I now stock up on these when they go on sale.
