Sodium Coco Sulfate, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Kalahari Melon Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Essential Oil + Fragrance Blend*, Lime Essential Oil, and Natural Coloring (Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Mica, and/or Clay)

*all pure fragrance is skin safe, phthalate free and paraben free.

Each bar comes packaged in a glassine paper bag and is sealed with a sugarcane paper label. The glassine paper bag and label are both 100% home compostable.

Wet hair. Gently rub the wet shampoo bar directly onto your hair from scalp to ends, OR rub the wet shampoo bar between your hands to create a lather and massage into hair. Rinse & follow with a conditioner bar!

Isla was built for dry and curly hair. The star is Kalahari melon seed oil, which is full of vitamins and antioxidants and moisturizes without any grease. Thirsty curls drink it up. It also helps with breakage and new growth.

Kalahari melon seed oil and lime essential oil. The melon oil feeds scalp and strands, helps stop breakage and supports new growth. The lime gives it a fresh, clean finish.

Is the Isla Shampoo Bar vegan and cruelty-free?

It is! All our bars are vegan and cruelty free, and we make them by hand in the USA.

Is it safe for color-treated hair?

Yes. No SLS in the formula, so colored hair is safe.

What does it smell like?

Sweet melon with a twist of tangy lime. Very summery.

How long does one bar last?

One bar, 75+ washes. That replaces a fair few plastic bottles. Just keep it dry between uses.

Is it free of SLS, palm oil, and parabens?

None of those, no. It washes with sodium coco sulfate, which comes from coconut and is much kinder, and the fragrance is skin safe, phthalate free and paraben free.

Awesome shampoo bar.

I love this shampoo bar. The smell is luscious, it’s cleans really well and easily, helps detangles my girls’ hair and is silky and moisturizing even to the touch. It does great with long hair. The only downside I see to this bar is that due to its high moisture content, it seems to get used up faster than the other bars.

Perfectly Balanced Cleansing

These shampoo bars lather very nicely cleaning my hair but don't make it feel stripped. The bar form is perfect for travel as well. I now stock up on these when they go on sale.
